Shaphawa Hylton started her journey in the beauty industry while at the University of Technology Jamaica, where she very often did the eyebrows of fellow students. By the time she had completed her degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management she was popularly known on campus as the ‘eyebrow girl’. Similarly to other hard working students at the University, Shaphawa went on the Work and Travel Program where she spent many hours working in the service industry. She subsequently took all her earnings and paid for further certification in lash extensions and microblading thus perfecting her craft before returning home to Jamaica. After graduating she was faced with the choice of joining the work world with her fellow graduates and embracing the 9-5 lifestyle, or taking a leap of faith by starting her journey as an entrepreneur in the beauty industry.

 

Shaphawa is a hard working business professional who is passionate about entrepreneurship and desires the best for entrepreneurs. To do so, she has created an avenue for individuals interested in the beauty industry to garner a still, but not just any skill, a lucrative one. This two time certified lash extension and microblading artist used her knowledge of the industry and first world training to create revolutionary courses, filling a gap in the Jamaican space.
